MedicCast TV host Jamie Davis, the Podmedic was joined at EMS Today by NACCHO preparedness expert Andrew Roszak to talk about their upcoming Preparedness Summit. The National Association of County and City Health Officials is an organization devoted to supporting our nation’s local public health officials. Their annual Preparedness Summit in Atlanta this year is renewing that focus with new and inventive programs, presentations and initiatives to help communities and local systems be ready for major events and disasters.

Among the upcoming projects at this year’s Preparedness Summit is a luncheon that will be dispensed using the POD system that would be used by many areas to dispense medications in the event of a pandemic or other similar health event. You can find out more about this conference at PreparednessSummit.org or at theNACCHO.org website directly.

Stay tuned here for more segments from EMS Today and a special thank you to PennWell, JEMS, and Physio-Control for sponsoring our podcast studio at this event.
