This week on the MedicCast TV weekly commentary, I bring you a segment from my own backyard. This morning, Cecil County, Maryland Department of Emergency Services, along with my own department ran a hands-only-CPR event in the parking lot at the local supermarket. It was a beautiful Saturday morning and people were excited to learn what we were doing and showing them.

I chatted with paramedic and County DES Assistant Chief of Operations Mike Deckard about the event and why it’s so important to get out in the community. He had some good things to say about EMS in the community and Cardiac Arrest response in coordination with the public bystander response. Check it out!
