Rick Russotti from the Mitigation Journal joins Jamie Davis from the MedicCast to look at some of the response resources available from some of the vendors on the show floor at the Public Health Preparedness Summit. In the background in this video segment from the exhibit hall is just one of the large modular tent support structures that can house medical and other response facilities on location following a disaster.
Rick points out that these structures make it possible to provide a more normal standard of care for individuals following a disaster. This is a better level of care than has been expected by public health officials in the past where they are only expecting to be able to provide a “sufficiency of care.”
