Discussion of 12 Lead and Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS)

In this very special episode of the MedicCast, Jamie Davis, the Podmedic hosts a panel discussion with some online EMS leaders and a special guest supplied by Philips corporation.

Recorded LIVE at EMS Expo 2010 in Dallas, Texas last month, this episode was sponsored live by Philips and included a very informative discussion on the different EMS system approaches to handling STEMI, Non-STEMI and other acute coronary syndromes.

On the show was special guest Jeff Sundseth, Director of Emergency Medical Services for Pearland, Texas. Jeff came on the show to talk about some of the exciting options that his Philips cardiac monitors provide for the treatment and care of ACS patients in his system including some interesting gender based algorithms for identifying STEMI in patients.

Also on the show was the “Ambulance Driver” himself, Kelly Grayson. Kelly is the author of the “A Day in the Life of an Ambulance Driver” blog and also one of the hosts of the “Confessions of an EMS Newbie” podcast.

We also were very happy to have Jeremiah Bush of the CoEMS Mutual Aid TV program and also author of the “Jeramedic” blog.
