The Intraosseous Route
During the recent military conflict we have seen the role and demand of the IO route used time and time again, to save lives and to provide rapid intervention to critical patients. I only know of three common devices on the market, the EZ-IO drill, FAST1 and BIG manual device.
Any of you got any comments about the ease of use, pro’s & cons of these three devices?

I’m glad you brought this topic up for discussion here on the MedicCast Blog. While I have tried the EZ-IO here in my area, the cost is still seen to be prohibitive by our service. I’m curious about the impression that others have had about the other devices listed.
