I have been visiting All nurses for about 6 months and they posted the link with the interview on the site. Needless to say I have been listening to the podcast ever since, I have them in my ipod. I specially like your choice of songs, great finds. I teach music to babies:) I am not a nurse or a nursing student yet. I have been thinking about becoming a nurse for about 2 years now, but I have small children 2 and 4 so I'll be starting with my prereqs online for now. I have been reading and listening to everything I can put my hands on and the interviews that you do with nurses of different specialties have been invaluable. It's really given me a picture of what I might like to do, If I ever make it to nursing school. I just checked out your the preview video for ToP nursing student looks awesome! way to go. I haven't listened to all the episodes but I was wondering if you could bring up more the issue of self care for nurses. It seems like it's a recurrent issue among nurses to take very poor care of themselves and to not be able to set boundaries when it comes to meet their needs of nourishment,rest and excercise. Honestly it's one of the things that deters me from wanting to become a nurse. But if you have covered this topic please feel free to direct me to the episode.
