“This site is the culmination of more than a year of hard work,” said Jamie Davis, founder of MedicCast Productions and host of many of the programs there.  “We have finally been able to provide a resource for nursing study aids similar to the MedicCast Extra and it’s resources for EMTs and paramedics.”

MedicCast Productions partnered with Emergency Nursing Today and its RN host, Paul Bond, another provider of online nursing shows.  Inside the site, a student nurse will find resources laid out in an easy to use format. Each file is separately downloadable and most are accompanied by their own pdf transcripts or study tools.

With nearly 200 study aids already on the site and more on the way soon, the Nursing Top Student Site is positioned to be a valuable, independent resource for student nurses in the coming years.

Visit NursingTopStudent.com and try out the selection of free files inside including nursing career information, toxicology reviews with Lisa Booze of the Maryland Poison Center, and selected medication and tip reviews.

Hi Jamie, I’m I have been listening to The Nursing show since you interviewed Brian the founder of All nurses.
I have been visiting All nurses for about 6 months and they posted the link with the interview on the site.
Needless to say I have been listening to the podcast ever since, I have them in my ipod.
I specially like your choice of songs, great finds. I teach music to babies:)
I am not a nurse or a nursing student yet. I have been thinking about becoming a nurse for about 2 years now, but I have small children 2 and 4 so I’ll be starting with my prereqs online for now.
I have been reading and listening to everything I can put my hands on and the interviews that you do with nurses of different specialties have been invaluable. It’s really given me a picture of what I might like to do, If I ever make it to nursing school.
I just checked out your the preview video for ToP nursing student looks awesome! way to go.
I haven’t listened to all the episodes but I was wondering if you could bring up more the issue of self care for nurses. It seems like it’s a recurrent issue among nurses to take very poor care of themselves and to not be able to set boundaries when it comes to meet their needs of nourishment, rest and excercise. Honestly it’s one of the things that deters me from wanting to become a nurse.
But if you have covered this topic please feel free to direct me to the episode. Also if you have had a pediatric nurse on the show direct me there as well.
Anyway sorry this is so long.
Keep it coming your doing excellent work!

Sincerely,
Martha S. Horton
