To “Er” is Human
I was reading through the Digg posts today and I found this article about speech patterns. I have really been focusing on my presentation style over the last few MedicCasts. Among the things I have been working on is my “ums”, “uhs” and “ers.” This article says that they are linguistically normal in speech patterns although in some languages these “filler” syllables are short words with some meaning.
Just a random thought as I am putting together this week’s podcast. Look for it later tonight or tomorrow night. (just a few more day’s of finals)
Don’t forget, it’s National Nurses Week! Make sure you let your nurses know that you appreciate them when you drop your patient’s off this week. They do the same for us each year during EMS week, after all.
Talk to you soon.
